CMI
- Rotary Matters intends to operate this Medical
Supply Ship as a support Vessel to gather medical and nutritional
supplies, and to house medical professionals on their Missions to
Haiti. This Vessel will travel the coast line of the Continental US
and make port calls to major Ports for the purpose of Visiting &
Speaking at Rotary Clubs, meeting with Hospital Administrators,
Doctors and Medical Professionals. Once in Haiti, the ship's Mission
is to support
Organisation ROME Haiti in its continued
service throughout Haiti, as it has done for the past twelve plus
years. Provisions and supplies will be apportioned throughout Haiti
by Rotary Clubs and Doctors thus, providing for an extensive
hands-on distribution of medicines, foods and water getting into the
hands of the most needy.
Home Port shall be Belfast,
Maine. Regularly scheduled trips to Haiti will be conducted.
Along the route
to Haiti, the Vessel will visit Rotary Clubs. Major ports
will be visited for stocking of provisions and donated materials.
Various smaller ports of call will be scheduled as well, depending on
invitations for program presentations from Rotary
Clubs and the logistics that will be involved to make the port call.
Each run
along the US Coastline will culminate in a month long stay in Haiti,
with visiting Doctors and Medical Professionals on board.
Rotary Matters will visit
multiple Haitian Ports to bring medical and nutritional supplies -
and to provide for Medical Aid to children at remote ports
throughout Haiti. These Medical Relief trips will be accomplished
with Volunteer Doctors and Medical Teams. Their Humanitarian work
will be conducted in Haiti - from their berths upon
Rotary Matters. |
